Apartment Wendland

Our new  holiday apartment  is located directly on the Spreewald flow "Lehder Graben" and is part of one of the oldest residential buildings in the Spreewald.

The size is 70 square meters. Up to 4 people will find upscale furnishings with two bedrooms, a living area with an open kitchen, a bathroom and a cozy entrance area.

The rooms have underfloor heating and are on the ground floor.

Clay plastered walls ensure a healthy indoor climate.

The name of the settlement Kaupen goes back to a Slavic name of the Sorbs/Wends and refers to small, elevated islets. The individual farmsteads are surrounded by narrow streams, ditches and canals. From the holiday home  from here you can watch the Spreewald gondoliers punt the punts. In the garden, a comfortable hammock invites you to look around and relax, complemented by additional garden furniture.

From the land side, the popular cucumber cycle path leads right past the farmstead. From here it is only a few kilometers to the Spreewald towns of Leipe and Burg (Spreewald).

It takes 10 to 15 minutes to walk to the beautiful village of Lehde and via a wonderful circular path past the Lübbenau Castle Ensemble you reach the historic old town of Lübbenau, with the baroque Nikolaikirche in the center. Paddle boats are available for rent in the immediate vicinity.

It is also only an 8-10 minute walk to the large Spreewald port and the other barge ports. Boat trips are offered daily, including themed trips and evening trips.
